Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Dr. Khaliq-ur-Rehman visited Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), Peshawar, to meet Dr. Majid, a neurosurgery TMO from District Karak. A gas leakage explosion had left Dr. Majid with serious injuries.
The Minister sat with him, wished him a speedy recovery, and listened to a full briefing from the treating physicians on his condition and progress.

Dr. Khaliq-ur-Rehman personally assumed responsibility for Dr. Majid’s medical care at HMC Peshawar. Doctors, he stated, are a national asset. The KP government considers their health and well-being a top priority.
Serving the public under difficult conditions, doctors make contributions that society cannot afford to ignore. The Minister expressed deep sorrow over the incident and met personally with Dr. Majid’s family to assure them of complete government support.
He then directed the HMC administration to eliminate any negligence in the treatment process. Advanced medical facilities, the minister stressed, must reach Dr. Majid without delay.

Burns Center Team Provides Round-the-Clock Care
At the Burns and Plastic Surgery Center, a dedicated team of physicians monitors Dr. Majid’s condition around the clock. Hospital officials confirmed to the KP Health Minister that Dr. Majid receives specialised care at HMC Peshawar.
The medical team also presented the minister with a transfer option. Aga Khan University Hospital or another advanced facility could provide further specialized treatment if his condition requires it.
Dr. Khaliq-ur-Rehman reaffirmed the government’s full commitment to Dr. Majid’s treatment and rehabilitation. The KP government, he added, will allow no shortage of resources in this matter.
