PESHAWAR: The Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) inaugurated Ward Q – Oncology & Palliative Care Services, marking a significant expansion of cancer care facilities in the region.
The dedicated ward aims to provide patients with advanced oncology treatments, specialized care, and palliative support.

The facility also includes a dedicated oncology pharmacy to provide all related services under one roof. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman officially inaugurated the ward. During the ceremony, the minister visited patients and appreciated the institute’s efforts in delivering accessible cancer care to the community.
Patient-Centered Services
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Irfan Haider emphasized the importance of patient-centered oncology services. He noted that the initiative is a major step toward strengthening comprehensive cancer care. Furthermore, he praised the integration of specialized palliative support within the new facility.
