PESHAWAR: Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) Education has formally inaugurated its 4th Annual Sports Gala at the Hayatabad Sports Complex, uniting students from its five constituent colleges for a week of high-octane competition and athletic excellence.
The event serves as a structured platform for future healthcare professionals to demonstrate discipline, resilience, and teamwork beyond the classroom.

The gala’s commencement was marked by a prestigious opening ceremony featuring global sporting icons. Jansher Khan, the legendary eight-time World Open squash champion, attended as the guest of honor, providing a source of immense inspiration for the young athletes. Joining him was national cricketer Muhammad Waseem Senior, alongside other distinguished guests and international sportspersons.
The festivities began with a traditional torch relay, followed by a disciplined ceremonial march past by student-athletes and faculty members from the participating institutions:

- Rehman College of Nursing (RCN)
- Rehman College of Rehabilitation Sciences (RCRS)

The Chief Guest of the occasion, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Sports Tashfeen Haider, commended Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) for its steadfast commitment to co-curricular development. Throughout the week, students will compete in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports designed to test both individual skill and collective strategy:

- Indoor Sports: Badminton and Table Tennis.
- Demonstrations: The opening also featured specialized Taekwondo performances by talented students.
