DG KPRA Reviews Q4 Performance at Regional Office North, Applauds Target Achievements

Abbottabad—Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), Miss Irum Naz, visited the KPRA Regional Office North on Wednesday to conduct a comprehensive review of the region’s fourth-quarter (Q4) performance for the financial year 2025-26.

Accompanied by Collector Sales Tax on Services, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Khan, and Director Administration, HR & Coordination, Ms. Asma Khyber, the DG evaluated revenue growth, sector-wise trends, and operational challenges.

KPRA revenue collection FY 2024-25 surpasses target with Rs51.56bn

Key Revenue Milestones: North Region Exceeds Expectations

Additional Collector North Region, Mr. Muhammad Iqbal, alongside his team, provided a detailed briefing on the region’s financial triumphs. Key highlights from the briefing include the following:

  • Total Historic Collection: The Regional Office North has generated over Rs. 14 billion in revenue since its inception.
  • Current Financial Year Progress: The region has successfully collected Rs. 3,315 million so far, meeting its revenue targets for the first three quarters of FY 2025-26.
  • Hattar Industrial Estate Growth: Revenue collections from industrial units in Hattar have already crossed Rs. 600 million, with an additional Rs. 200 million projected by the end of June 2026.
  • Hospitality Sector Surge: Thanks to targeted enforcement, revenue from the hospitality sector has nearly doubled compared to the previous fiscal year.

Data-Driven Tax Audits and Enforcement

During the session, Miss Irum Naz analyzed sector-specific revenue fluctuations, prompting the regional team to outline strategic measures aimed at boosting future tax compliance.

The regional team also provided updates on active recovery cases transferred from the KPRA Directorate of Inquiry & Investigation and the Directorate of Tax Audit, showcasing successful recoveries made from audited, registered corporate entities.

Upgrading Infrastructure for Enhanced Operational Efficiency

In line with KPRA’s modernization goals, the director general distributed laptops and state-of-the-art all-in-one computers to the officers of the North Region.

Addressing the logistical and operational challenges raised by the staff, Miss Irum Naz assured them of the head office’s unconditional support. She commended the team’s dedication and urged them to maintain their momentum to hit the final Q4 revenue targets.
