PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have established an advanced, integrated security system to protect Chinese citizens and foreign experts. This initiative guarantees foolproof security for foreign nationals operating within the province. As part of this strategy, officials launched the first modern Special Security Unit (SSU) Command and Control Room.
Authorities have deployed the first specialized batch of SSU personnel to Bacha Khan International Airport. These officers will provide round-the-clock security services at the terminal. To ensure seamless communication, the deployed personnel have completed a specialized training course in the Chinese language. This training allows officers to coordinate effectively and provide direct assistance to Chinese arrivals.
The police department also finalized a comprehensive 28-point security plan. This plan regulates the safe transit of Chinese nationals and other foreign experts. Furthermore, provincial authorities collaborated with federal agencies to draft detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). These SOPs strictly govern travel and access routes to various development projects.
Digital Tracking and Emergency Response Systems Activated
The Central Command and Control Unit will manage security logistics from the point of departure to the final destination. Using a centralized computerized framework, the unit will relay real-time data across all districts. The command room will continuously monitor the live digital location of all foreign convoys.
To reinforce personal safety, the police will provide Chinese nationals with a dedicated emergency contact number. This number connects users directly to first responders during critical situations. Police officials confirmed that the command and control room will remain functional at all hours. This constant readiness ensures immediate neutralization of any security threats and safeguards foreign professionals.
