PESHAWAR—The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has launched the KPRA Sahulat app, a new mobile platform designed to make sales tax services more accessible to taxpayers, businesses and citizens while improving transparency in tax administration.
The free Android application is now available on the Google Play Store and provides users with digital access to several taxpayer services without the need to rely entirely on traditional channels.
The KPRA Sahulat app allows users to verify invoices in real time by scanning QR codes and report unverified or suspicious receipts directly through the platform. It also includes a sales tax calculator to help taxpayers determine applicable tax amounts.

Users can access Schedule-II tax rates offline, check filing deadlines through a live tax calendar and verify registered businesses using their National Tax Number (NTN).
The application also allows users to track complaints submitted through the platform and access official KPRA notifications and taxpayer guides.
The launch forms part of KPRA’s wider effort to use digital technology to improve public services and make tax administration more transparent and accessible.
KPRA Director General Irum Naz said the initiative supports the provincial government’s broader governance reform and public service delivery agenda.
“KPRA Sahulat represents a major stride forward in empowering the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Naz said, adding that the authority aims to provide accessible and transparent public services that allow citizens to exercise their rights and raise concerns more easily.

She also acknowledged the support of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Adviser Muzzammil Aslam and Finance Secretary Captain (retd) Kamran Ahmad Afridi in the development of the initiative.
Naz praised the KPRA ICT team for developing the KPRA Sahulat app in-house, describing the application as an effort to provide more practical digital services to taxpayers across the province.
The application could also make it easier for consumers to play a role in monitoring sales tax compliance. The ability to verify receipts and report suspicious transactions gives users a direct channel to flag potential irregularities.
For businesses, features such as tax-rate information, filing deadlines and business verification can provide easier access to information that is often spread across different administrative channels.

KPRA said an iOS version is also under development. The authority plans to make the application available through the Apple App Store once development is complete.
For now, the KPRA Sahulat app is available free of charge to Android users through the Google Play Store.
The launch represents another step towards shifting taxpayer services from paperwork and physical interaction towards digital access. Its longer-term value, however, will depend on how widely taxpayers use the platform, how effectively KPRA responds to complaints and whether the digital system improves compliance and public confidence.
