PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Faisal Karim Kundi, has taken a significant step towards fostering political unity and addressing the province’s pressing issues.
The Governor has invited leaders of all political parties to form a task force that will work together to negotiate with the federal government for a fair share of resources and address other critical matters.
In his letter, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Faisal Karim Kundi, emphasized the importance of political harmony and collective efforts to secure the province’s rights. He proposed a united task force that would work together to resolve issues such as maintaining peace, securing a fair share of the net hydel profit, and obtaining the province’s due share of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.
The task force will also focus on addressing the issue of excise duty on petroleum products. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor assured that the Governor’s House would provide all necessary support to the task force.
The leaders invited to the inaugural meeting of the task force include Mian Iftikhar Hussain (ANP), Sikandar Hayat Sherpao (QWP), Maulana Ata ur Rehman (JUI-F), Maulana Jahanzeb Ali Jaffri (MWM), and representatives from other major political parties in the province.
Faisal Karim Kundi, has suggested that the task force develop a joint charter of demands to be presented to the federal government.
