Following Sher Afghan Marwat’s arrest, other PTI leaders and members of the National Assembly opted to remain inside the Parliament House to avoid a similar fate. Moreover, as opposition leaders gather inside, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and others have taken shelter in the service branch of the Parliament House due to the opposition leader’s chamber being locked.
In response, the police have deployed heavy forces outside the Parliament House, sealing all entry and exit points to the Red Zone, including D-Chowk, NADRA Chowk, Serena, and Marriott.Sources revealed that Sher Afghan Marwat was arrested for multiple violations during a rally at Sangjani the previous day.
These alleged violations included deviating from the agreed-upon route, exceeding the permitted time, attacking Islamabad police, delivering an anti-state speech, and engaging in other illegal activities.
