Diljit Dosanjh Opens Up About Early Financial Struggles and Wedding Gigs

KARACHI—Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently shared surprising details about his past. He spoke openly to the Indian media about his difficult early days.

The 42-year-old star revealed a harsh truth about his childhood. His family faced severe financial hardships during those early years. These daunting challenges pushed him to work incredibly hard.

Diljit grew up in a below-average-income household. His family often lacked money for basic healthcare.

“We did not even have money to visit a doctor,” he recalled.

Despite this extreme poverty, Diljit always dreamed of wealth and fame. He finally released his first album, Ishq Da Uda Ada, in 2002. Shortly after the release, people approached his company for event bookings. They wanted him to perform at a local birthday party.
