PRCS KP Aids Families Affected by Pak-Afghan Border Tensions

PESHAWAR– Following the directives of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa branch reached Chitral to support residents affected by tensions along the Pak-Afghan international border.

The PRCS team distributed essential relief supplies among victims in the Arandu area of Tehsil Drosh, Lower Chitral. The aid packages included food items such as rice, pulses, sugar, tea, and dates, while the teams also provided kitchen kits to the affected families.

Relief Distribution and Coordination

Provincial Secretary Abid Rahman Marwat provided supplies for 300 families in the presence of the district administration, represented by Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Khalil-ur-Rehman. PRCS KP Director Operations Muhammad Iqbal, District Secretary Lower Dir Muhammad Salam, and District Secretary Chitral Ejaz-ur-Rehman also attended the distribution.

The PRCS KP team assured the victims that they will continue to provide every possible assistance following Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s instructions. Both the district administration and the victims expressed their gratitude to the Governor for the timely intervention.

Governor’s Message to Border Communities

Through Provincial Secretary Abid Rahman Marwat, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi sent a message to the victims stating that humanitarian services in Chitral will continue and that the residents will not be left alone.

The Provincial Secretary and his team also conducted a detailed visit to the relief camps. During the visit, they conveyed the Governor’s message and reassured the victims that the government will resolve all their problems on a priority basis.
