PESHAWAR: Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) hosted a landmark, TEDxRMI, event bringing together prominent leaders, innovators, and thinkers to inspire youth.
With UBL Ameen as the platinum partner, the event highlighted how platforms like TEDx actively encourage creativity, practical thinking, and innovation among young minds. The event attracted an impressive lineup of speakers, including former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Duraid Qureshi, Dr. Adil Haider, Adil Khattak, Prof. Dr. Pervez Aamir Ali, Ahmed Uzair, and Anum Uzair.

Each speaker addressed contemporary and pressing topics, ranging from governance and public trust to global inequalities in wealth and power. They also discussed the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in healthcare, human-centered leadership, effective institution-building, and the role of storytelling in shaping national culture and narrative.
During his address, CEO RMI, Shafique ur Rehman, emphasized the vital role of TEDx in guiding youth. He said, “When we talk about the future, we are talking about the Pakistan that is still possible to build.” He added, ” A Pakistan where healthcare, education, and modern technology converge to uplift entire communities is within our reach. The ideas shared today are not mere dreams, they are on the verge of becoming reality.”

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi focused on the importance of youth engagement in national development. Meanwhile, Dr. Adil Haider highlighted how artificial intelligence can revolutionize healthcare outcomes. Duraid Qureshi and Adil Khattak encouraged young people to embrace leadership, overcome fear, and learn from failure to achieve meaningful impact.
The ceremony also honored the contributions of all speakers. Chairman RMI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rehman, and Chairman TEDxRMI, Dr. Umair Wadood, presented honorary shields, recognizing their commitment to inspiring Pakistan’s youth.
