Peshawar– Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized the critical need for collaborative efforts to address climate change at a COP simulation organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment at Governor House Peshawar.

Highlighting the importance of youth engagement, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stressed that addressing climate impacts requires awareness and education initiatives to prepare young people for environmental challenges.

The event, attended by students, government officials, and climate advocates, provided a platform for discussing the urgent effects of climate change. Addressing the participants, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi noted that climate change presents far-reaching challenges that threaten both current and future generations. “Young people are our asset and the country’s future. It is essential that they are made aware of the impact of climate change,” he said, encouraging similar initiatives by other ministries to raise public awareness.

Students from various schools shared ideas on combating climate change and advocated for immediate reforms. Praising the Ministry’s initiative, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi urged both public and private sectors to support educational efforts and engage youth in meaningful discussions on climate challenges.

He emphasized that unified action is the only way forward in protecting the environment.The event concluded with the Governor receiving a signed pledge from the students, expressing their commitment to climate action.
