The Zalmi Women Cricket League Season 2 continues in Peshawar, with Peshawar Zalmi and the Zalmi Foundation organizing the event in collaboration with Ufone 4G, UN Women, and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The matches are taking place at the Hayatabad Sports Complex, where emerging women cricketers from across the region are showcasing their talent.

Following the strong success of Season 1, the second edition has brought even more energy and competitive spirit to women’s cricket. On the third day of the league, three matches were played, each delivering impressive performances from the participating teams.

In the first match, Peshawar Thunder Bolts defeated D.I. Khan by three wickets. D.I. Khan batted first and scored 63 runs for five wickets in eight overs, and Peshawar successfully chased the target with seven wickets down.

In the second match, Hazara earned a convincing nine-wicket win over Peshawar All Stars XI. Hazara set a total of 43 runs for seven wickets, and Peshawar All Stars failed to reach the target despite losing only one wicket.

In the third match, Malakand Strikers registered another dominant victory by beating Kohat by nine wickets. Kohat posted 29 runs for four wickets, and Malakand chased the target comfortably, losing only one wicket.

This year’s edition, held under the theme “From Dreams to Reality,” aims to expand opportunities for women in cricket by offering a professional and inclusive platform for young female athletes.

The successful execution of Zalmi Women Cricket League Season 2 is supported by Ufone 4G, UN Women, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Higher Education Department KP, and DG Sports KP. Their collective involvement reflects a shared commitment to women empowerment, equal opportunity, and the promotion of sports for young talent across the province.
