PESHAWAR – The Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) on Wednesday inaugurated KP’s first 640-slice CT scan machine, marking a significant advancement in diagnostic technology that promises faster, more precise, and safer imaging for patients. .
Installed in RMI’s Radiology Department, the new KP first 640-slice CT scan can capture highly detailed scans within seconds, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and improving the efficiency of medical services across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior educationists and healthcare leaders, including Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan, and Mian Amir Mehmood, Chairman of the Punjab Group of Colleges, alongside media representatives, doctors, students, and RMI officials.
Guests at the event praised RMI’s commitment to introducing advanced medical technology, noting that the KP first 640-slice CT scan reflects the growing role of the private sector in strengthening healthcare and education systems.
Following the inauguration, RMI organized a youth dialogue titled “Imagine Pakistan 2030” at the Rehman College of Dentistry Auditorium.
The session engaged young minds in discussions about Pakistan’s youth challenges, including limited career opportunities, access to quality education, and the need for innovation-driven growth. Participants shared ideas on how dedication, skill development, and responsible citizenship can help shape a better future for the country. The dialogue also emphasized youth-led initiatives in healthcare, education, and entrepreneurship.
Addressing the gathering, CEO RMI Shafique Ur Rehman highlighted the role of youth as Pakistan’s driving force. He said RMI remains committed to supporting young people through education, awareness, and empowerment programs. “Our youth face numerous challenges but also hold immense potential. Through the right guidance and opportunities, they can build a stronger and more resilient Pakistan,” he said.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenir shields to distinguished guests, followed by a lunch in honor of delegates, media representatives, and participants.
