CHITRAL: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Tehsil President Imranul Mulk launched a scathing attack on his own government. He specifically criticized the distribution mechanism of the Prime Minister’s Ramazan Relief Package.
Furthermore, he claimed the initiative systematically excludes the poor in the region.
In a strongly worded statement issued on Monday, the party leader shared a troubling story. He spent his holiday personally verifying the CNICs of hundreds of impoverished residents to get Ramazan Relief Package, However, the results of this exercise were staggering.
Price Hike in Ramazan: Citizens Struggle as Holy Month Begins
Out of more than 200 cases of extreme poverty, not a single individual qualified for the relief scheme. Consequently, Mulk questioned the transparency of the Rs38-billion package. He also alleged that the scheme exists primarily on paper to “hoodwink” the public.
Political Sidelining and Administrative Failures
Meanwhile, the PML-N tehsil president expressed deep frustration over the current political climate. He noted that the provincial government restricts its relief to specific political groups. At the same time, he argued that the federal government sidelines its own loyalists and the truly needy. Therefore, Mulk condemned the “contemptuous” treatment of party workers. He warned that this attitude inflicts irreparable damage on the party’s reputation.
Call for Immediate Notice and Public Protest
Because of these failures, Mulk urged the Prime Minister to take immediate notice. He also called upon party workers to use social media to register their protest. Indeed, he warned that staying silent now would leave workers with no standing in the future. Finally, he issued a stern ultimatum. He vowed to lead a severe protest if the government does not restore the rights of the deserving. Ultimately, he asserted that ignoring public grievances is a moral failure.
