PESHAWAR: Pakistan closes border with Iran indefinitely to address security concerns amid escalating tensions in the region. The move affects the major border crossings in Balochistan’s Panjgur, Gwadar, and Kech districts. Authorities have implemented these measures to ensure public safety and maintain stability in the area.
District officials in Panjgur have suspended all movement through the Chidgi and Jeerak-Prom crossing points. This includes a complete ban on fuel transportation, which will remain in effect until further notice.
Residents have been advised to strictly avoid unnecessary travel near the affected locations. The decision reflects Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its borders and minimizing risks in light of the current regional unrest.
