ISLAMABAD – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi issued a clear and firm message to the provincial bureaucracy, asserting that his presence at the Islamabad sit-in does not mean he has lost sight of provincial administration.
In a video message aimed at civil servants and provincial officials, the Chief Minister dismissed any notions of a governance vacuum. He emphasized that he remains fully informed of every administrative move within the province, including personnel shifts and daily operations. The video message was issues on social media after the Peshawar high court directed the police to clear roads from PTI protesters.

“I Have My Eye on Everything”
Addressing the bureaucracy directly, CM Afridi told officials not to mistake his political activism for administrative absence.
“You don’t have to worry, and you shouldn’t think that just because I am sitting here in the sit-in, I am unaware of the situation in the province,” Afridi stated.
The Chief Minister highlighted that his monitoring systems remain active despite the geographical distance. He specifically pointed out that he is tracking:
- Postings and Transfers: Monitoring all movement within the provincial departments.
- Employee Performance: Tracking who is performing their duties and who is neglecting them.
- Real-time Governance: Maintaining constant communication with his core team in Peshawar.
Balancing Politics and Governance
The Chief Minister’s statement comes at a time of heightened political tension, as he leads a significant contingent in the federal capital. However, he maintained that his dual role—fighting a political battle and governing a province—is being managed effectively.
“I am fighting my political battle here, but I am also focusing on my governance,” he noted. “I am in touch with my team in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and I have my eye on everything.”
Closing his message on a hopeful note, Afridi expressed his commitment to the provincial vision, stating that “together we will make this province a great province, Inshallah.”
