Who Benefits From Government Incentives and Relief Packages?
Monitoring and Legal Enforcement
The government has decided to launch a crackdown against poppy cultivation in every district. Specifically, the home department instructed all deputy commissioners to complete the mapping of cultivated lands within one week. This mapping will assist the monitoring process during the eradication phase.
Furthermore, the authorities decided to initiate legal action against individuals involved in illegal farming. This process includes the registration of FIRs and other judicial measures. Therefore, district administrations must formulate an eradication schedule and provide daily progress reports to the provincial headquarters.

Logistics and Resource Allocation
To ensure the success of the campaign, the meeting confirmed the provision of machinery and funds. Relevant departments, including Agriculture, Forestry, Civil Defense, and the Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs), will supply the equipment. Specifically, these departments must ensure that field teams possess the tools required to clear the fields.
Additionally, the government appointed Irfanullah Mahsud, Additional Secretary of the Foreign Security Cell, as the focal person for this mission. A control room has also been established within the Home Department to oversee the operation.
