External Elements Behind Terrorism in Pakistan, Says Ulema Council Chief

PESHAWAR – The Alami Muttahida Ulema-o-Mashaikh Council has identified foreign interference as a major factor in the current security climate. Central Chairman Allama Muhammad Shoaib addressed the media to discuss the rising instances of terrorism in Pakistan. During the session, he attributed the instability to foreign actors including India, Israel, and Afghanistan.

While speaking at the Peshawar Press Club, Mr. Shoaib highlighted that both civilians and security personnel are being targeted. Consequently, he emphasized that terrorism in Pakistan poses a significant threat to national sovereignty. Furthermore, he noted that this violence also endangers the broader stability of the Middle East.

“The personnel of the Pakistan Army are being martyred in these attacks. Meanwhile, ordinary citizens continue to suffer,” Shoaib stated.

Regional Tensions and the Role of Global Powers

In addition to local concerns, the council chief analyzed the deteriorating situation in Iran. He claimed this is a result of external pressures from the United States and Israel. Specifically, he argued these geopolitical tensions directly feed into the cycle of terrorism in Pakistan and surrounding regions.

Finally, they pledged to support the military under all circumstances.
