ISLAMABAD – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi officially launched the “Imran Khan Release Force” to secure the freedom of the PTI founder. Speaking outside the Supreme Court, Afridi confirmed that Imran Khan personally tasked him with leading this new street movement.
Allegations and Legal Conflict
The Chief Minister leveled sharp accusations against state institutions during his media talk. He claimed that authorities openly defy judicial orders. He further alleged that officials block the PTI founder’s access to his personal doctors.
“This situation directly threatens our democracy and the constitution,” Afridi stated. Amidst these remarks, an Islamabad court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Sohail Afridi. The court cited anti-state remarks and a cybercrime case as the basis for the order.

Financial Accountability and Internal Politics
Beyond the protest plans, Afridi addressed provincial governance. He vowed to protect public money. “I will account for every single penny of the funds for victim assistance,” he asserted.
Responding to questions about internal party friction, Afridi remained firm. He noted that “honor and humiliation rest only with Allah.” When asked about attempts to remove him from his post, he directed reporters to “ask the sisters of the PTI founder” for the source of that message.
