Addressing the audience, CM Sohail Afridi stated:
“The dream of the PTI founder for a Safe City has been fulfilled today. Work on Safe City projects in other districts is also underway. Given the current global and national circumstances, security remains on high alert everywhere.”
The Chief Minister also touched upon his previous warnings to federal authorities regarding regional stability.
“When I last met with federal representatives, I told them that if interests do not change, conditions will deteriorate further,” Afridi remarked. “I had suggested forming a jirga, but action was initiated before that could happen. However, protecting every inch of Pakistan is our duty, and we will do it. Pakistan remains ready at all times to deal with any power.”
Regarding international relations and the “Board of Peace” with Iran, the Chief Minister noted that the government must take both the public and Parliament into confidence.
