Women University Swabi held a Board of Studies meeting that covered seventeen academic departments and set the direction for curriculum changes. The university organized the session to follow the latest Higher Education Commission (HEC) policies and to improve academic structure.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Ghazala Yasmin led the meeting. The university invited professors, faculty members, and subject experts from universities across Pakistan. Participants reviewed course structures and discussed program requirements. They aligned course content with policy frameworks and education needs.
The participants discussed teaching methods, assessment systems, and research components. The university designed the revised framework to build academic grounding, develop thinking skills, and support career readiness among students.
The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the work of Dr Rehana Bibi, Deputy Director Academics, and credited her for coordinating the meeting. She stated that the university will not compromise on academic standards and will treat women’s education as a priority.
She stated that curriculum updates play a role in preparing students for global challenges. The university committed to improving academic governance, supporting faculty development, and expanding research activities.
After the meeting, officials confirmed that the updated curriculum will move to approval through statutory bodies. The university will implement the new curriculum across all seventeen departments in phases.
Education experts stated that this step places Women University Swabi among institutions focusing on compliance, governance, and women’s education. The university now stands in wider discussion on education quality in the region.
